“Wecon Properties”, one of the Gold Sponsors at Rehab Fair 2021, completed the fair successfully with a crowd of curious spectators and prospective clients. It has effectively managed to leave a positive impact on the fair, with the excellence of its newest and upcoming projects.
The 4 days long fair was held at Radisson Blu Chattogram from 18th November till 21st November. Participating for the first time, Wecon Properties was the gold sponsor for this fair. As the chief guest, State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid formally inaugurated the ‘REHAB Fair 2021’ at Radisson Blu Bay View Hotel. In his statement, he revealed that a plan has been undertaken to serve Chittagong with a reliable energy supply. Implementation will take around two and a half years. Other similar ventures have also been attempted. If this project is completed, Chittagong would be the first city in Bangladesh to produce electricity using waste. Special guests were Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury and REHAB President Shamsul Al Amin.
The fair had 71 stalls this year, attracting approximately 12,000 visitors.
The exhibition was held for the 14th time in Chittagong by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB). With only 11 members, REHAB was founded in 1991. The number of REHAB members has increased to 1082 as of February 28, 2011. (REHAB, 2011). As a result, it is clear that while the real estate sector is still comparatively new, it has grown at an incredible rate.
